Artist Statement |

My work is based on exploration of the landscape through painting and printmaking. The work is figurative. Colour and shape are used to create atmosphere and space and portray the character of the place. I have studied painting, drawing and printmaking by the atelier method in the studios of practising artists and have attended courses at the Slade.

I have travelled and worked in Italy and France but am always glad to return to the familiar landscapes of the Marlborough Downs and Cornish coastline. |

The work has been shown in London, Bristol, and Marlborough and is currently part of the 2008 Newbury Open Studio scheme. |
